Who we are
To be honest, “we” is a bit of a strong word. It’s usually just me out at the forge, but it’s true that I wouldn’t have gotten to where I am in this journey without a lot of support and encouragement. I’ve always loved fantasy books, movies, games, etc., and I’ve been into the idea of smithing since before Skyrim came out (the first time). Still, it took the gift of a 25lb anvil to make me realize that I could actually pursue my dream of hammering metal into neat little doodads.
This has been my passion project for over a year now, and in that time it’s grown from that single little anvil under a collapsible - and frequently collapsing - canopy to a 2-anvil operation in the secluded ruins of an old sheep pen. That may not sound like much progress, but it really has made a world of difference having a solid structure dedicated to the craft.
I hope you like what you see here enough to get involved in some way. Whether that means ordering something, getting in touch with us through the contact form, or even just sharing the website with someone who might want to check out what I’m working on here, it’s all welcome and appreciated!
Why the name?
Crow’s Arm gets its name from a tattoo on the arm I swing my hammer with. As you may have surmised, it’s of a crow. His name is Beric, and you can see him in our gallery.
